Packaging
To us: 5kg plastic bags. We haven't yet found an affordable pasta supplied plastic-free, so instead we buy it in the largest quantities possible to minimise plastic packaging from the supplier.
To you: 100% recyclable and home compostable paper bag, made from 100% recycled paper.
Product Origin / Manufacture
Made by Iris Bio in Lombardy, Northern Italy, a workers' cooperative since 1978. They make the pasta about 10km away from their farm using bronze dies (pasta shaping tools) which help to create a texture that holds a sauce much better than conventional methods. Supplied by West Yorkshire based Co-operative, Suma.
Storage
Store in an air tight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
